Synergy Business Brokers ("SBB," "we," "us") is a business brokerage practice based in Omaha, Nebraska, operating this website at www.thesynergybroker.com. Confidentiality is the foundation of our work. This policy describes what information we collect through this website and our deal tools, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

Contact and inquiry information. Name, email address, phone number, and message content you submit through contact forms on this site, or that listing marketplaces (such as BizBuySell or BizBen) forward to us when you inquire about a business we represent.
Scheduling information. When you book a call through our Calendly scheduling links, we receive the name, email address, and appointment details you provide.
Deal tool inputs. Figures you enter into tools on this site, such as the Deal Analyzer or the Seller Valuation Calculator, are captured with your submission so we can prepare for a productive conversation.
Document and video engagement. Confidential listing materials are delivered through private, access-controlled pages personalized to the recipient. We record engagement signals on those pages — for example, how far a document was read or a video was watched — tied to the recipient's personalized link.
Technical data. Our hosting provider maintains standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested). We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

How We Use Information

Responding to inquiries about businesses we represent and qualifying prospective buyers;
Preparing valuations, listing materials, and deal analyses;
Scheduling and confirming calls and meetings;
Administering engagements, including invoicing and payment processing;
Meeting legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.

How We Share Information

We use a small set of service providers to operate the practice — website hosting, electronic signature, scheduling, payment processing, and communications platforms. These providers process information only to deliver their service to us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS / Text Messaging

If you provide your phone number and opt in to receive text messages from Synergy Business Brokers, we may send you non-marketing messages related to your inquiry or transaction — for example, updates on a listing you inquired about, document delivery notices, and call scheduling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out; after you text STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Email Communications

Emails we send in the course of an inquiry or engagement are one-to-one professional correspondence. If you ask us to stop emailing you, we will.

Confidentiality of Deal Information

Business-for-sale information is exchanged under confidentiality practices standard to the brokerage profession, including non-disclosure agreements for buyer access to listing materials. Information sellers and buyers share with us in the course of a transaction is handled under those agreements and this policy, whichever is more protective.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to serve the inquiry or engagement it relates to, and as required for legal, tax, and professional record-keeping obligations.

Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at matt@thesynergybroker.com. We will honor requests consistent with our legal and contractual obligations. Where state privacy laws grant you additional rights, we will honor those rights as the law provides.

Children

This website and our services are directed to business owners, buyers, and professionals. They are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date.
